The Story of SUGAMAMA and the woman behind the business…

This journey began at the Culinary Institute of America (Hyde Park, NY) over 12 years ago! I graduated and went on to gain real world experience. After a few years of working for other industry leaders, I decided to form my own business. It began with Private Chef positions and evolved into event planning and catering. My team and I have hosted hundreds of meals. Some for people you’d love to hear about, but mostly for people you don’t care know. Each event equally important and special to us.

In 2017, after two years of using shared commercial kitchens, It became obvious that I needed my own space to grow. 457 Clifton Avenue will always be our first home. My bakery and catering business operated there for 5 years. In early 2023 I decided to move from this location.

My decision to move is strategic and will allow much more freedom in the work I choose. I wished to grow outside of those four walls and prepare food for any and everyone!

I look forward to you joining the journey. I take immense pleasure in creating memorable experiences surrounding food. A hot coffee on a cool morning can really start the day off right. I hope to become a part of your world and sit at your table, even if just in the form of a meal.
